How to caption your images
You can edit IPTC for multiple jpeg images at one time. All the changes you make will be saved to the database and the IPTC information will also be re-embeded into the jpeg image(s). IPTC meta-data can be displayed on the image detail view page and allows your images to be searchable by its IPTC data. Captioning your images enables your customers to use keywords to search your images.

  • Once logged in as a site administrator click 'Manage/images'.
  • Navigate to album of interest.
  • Then click 'Images' tab then click 'Edit IPTC' tab
  • Edit the various IPTC fields in the form relative to the image(s) of interest.
  • To save your edits click 'Save All' to save the IPTC data or 'Save & Next 20' to continue editing the next 20 images.

  • Edit IPTC meta-data in your favorite desktop application like Photo Shop™ or Photo Mechanic.
  • Then upload your jpeg images into your Spitfire website.
  • Your IPTC meta-data will automatically be extracted into the database.

More information about the IPTC standard can be found at International Press Telecommunications Council
