Spitfire photo offers several convenient methods to upload your photos. Use FTP
to upload large amounts of photos, form based for a just a few at a time and drag
& drop the most convenient way. Which ever method you use your images will automatically be resized, watermarked, IPTC information parsed and loaded into your database.
- Once logged in as an administrator, navigate to 'Albums & Images' > 'Upload images'.
- Select album to upload images to.
- Click the 'Select Album' button.
- Click the 'Drag and Drop' tab.
- Drag your images into the uploader.
- Click the 'Upload' button.
- An upload progress bar will appear.
- You can wait until all images are uploaded or chancel midway.
- Once logged in as an administrator, navigate to 'Albums & Images' > 'Upload images'.
- Select album to upload images to.
- Click the 'Select Album' button.
- Click the 'Form Upload' tab.
- Click 'Browse..' in the form for up to 5 images.
- Click the 'Upload' button.
- An FTP account is provided with your subscription to Spitfire Photo so that you may efficiently
batch upload images into your Spitfire Photo website.
Your FTP account details (server/username/password) are provided AFTER upgrading to a full member.
If you would like an FTP account during the
trial period, you can request one by emailing support@spitfirephoto.com.
- Use any FTP program to connect to your Spitfire Photo FTP account.
- Upload your photos onto the ftp server.
You can upload images directly or whole folders as well as nested folders.
- Log in as an administrator, navigate to 'Albums & Images' > 'Upload images'.
- If you transferred folders using your FTP tool, click the large button that says 'FTP Import Directory Tree'.
You will see a list of the folders and you can select the import button to begin processing the folders and images.
Your albums will be automatically created to correspond with the transferred folders.
- If you transferred images directly (no folders) using your FTP tool, then do the following:
- Select album to upload images to.
- Click the 'Select Album' button.
- Click the 'FTP Upload' tab.
- You will be presented with all the images in your ftp account.
- Select the images you want to upload into the selected album.
- Click the 'Upload' button.
- Spitfire Photo now offers a plug-in for Apple© Aperture™ so that you
can efficiently export images from Aperture™ directly into your Spitfire Photo website.
