About the Twin Rivers Show
The Twin Rivers Benefit Horse show was started in 1970 by Lynn Harris, Pete Peters, Tom Thibaut, and their families. It started out to be an all junior exhibitor and amateur show with classes for saddle horse, hunters and western horses. Through out the years the show has changed with the show industry and is now one of the area’s premier horse shows for Saddlebreds, Morgans and Hackney ponies. With a very active board of directors & a great group of exhibitors the show has evolved to become the enjoyment of all those who attend. We have many world champion horses exhibited here and the level of competition is wonderful. We have one exhibitor who comes from Dallas,Texas ,Bill Marple, who initiated the amateur of the Year award . The show committee nominates all amateurs who have not yet received the award and pull the name from a hat at one of our first meetings of the year. We have a great exhibitor’s party on Friday night after the horse show, music and merriment abounds. We also have a nice academy division for the beginning rider. Many thanks to all our board members for the dedication to the show and tireless devotion to make this the great horse show it is.
